REHAB AGREES WITH LINDSAY LOHAN. TWO WEEKS into her stay at Promises Treatment Center in Malihu, California, the actress is “doing really well,” a pal says of the star, who admitted herself into the facility on May 28 after crashing her Mercedes and getting cited for DUI. “She’s a bit lonely, hut hanging in. A couple of friends have been visiting.” (Plus, mom Dina stopped by June 8.) The actress spends the rest of her time reading, e-mailing and hitting the gym. “She is starting to feel stronger and better,” the source says. And while she’s made friends inside, “she’s pretty wary. Everyone could potentially be that person who wants to sell a story.” Meanwhile, those on the outside are rooting for her recovery. “I hope Lindsay s doing better. I hope for the best,” her dad, Michael, who’s on probation in New York and trying to arrange a visit, tells Us. “My kids are my first priority.”

Finally, newcomer Garrett Hedlund was cast as Harlan, the naive boy who doesn’t know what to make of Rachel and her charms. Hedlund hails from the region of the country where George Rule is set and could easily relate to the farm boy. Of his character’s growing relationship with Rachel, Hedlund comments: “It’s the red zone for Harlan…he can’t go there. He’s got a girl, and he’s about to be married. This is out-of-bounds territory.”

Less than a month after coming out of rehab, actress Lindsay Lohan,
whose late-night partying with the likes of Paris Hilton fueled tabloid
headlines and who has been reported to have caused some trouble on the sets of
the film “Georgia Rule” by being late for shoots, hit the red carpet
regardless in New York City on Tuesday (May 8th) for the premiere of the film.
